Useful Ways to attract People Into your blog.

Tips on how to attract people into your blog.

I'm here to tell you how to attract people your blogs with out paid advertisement.

Tip 1: Get relevant content on the blog:

There's nothing worse than a blog that doesn't have relevant content. Be sure to have something people are looking for. Target your audience to make sure they want to click on it and get value.

Tip 2 Educate an audience:

This doesn't mean find words in the dictionary and post them on a blog. It mean find something that might cause you do slow down or need help and help them! Its as easy as going to forums and listening on the conversation on what is the problem, all you have to do is go and find a solution and help them with their problem. People love tutorials that really help, not just get them into more problems.

Tip 3: Humor your audience:

People tend to think that humor means that you are weak or have nothing good to say, but its quite the opposite. You can create funny blogs that make people laugh while at the same time give people info. This provokes a reactions(a good one) rather than mundane info. Be creative and be yourself is the key. People might think your funny or not, but who cares. Crank out quality content and be yourself. You will get alot of attention when you don't conform.

Tip 4: Rank high on the search engines:

This one is tricky. If you haven't been on the Internet for a long time, or don'tknow anything about Seo, your safe. Don't get bog down from all the crap you hear about seo and optimizing. Sure if you put in certain keywords in your blog it will definitely help, but don't count on it as if it was your last life. Put keywords into your "TITLE"(don't stuff Keywords), also put keywords into your body text right after you title. for example:

"How to catch fish in shallow water" (TITLE)

(Body) Tips on how to catch fish in shallow water.

Then the rest of your story ( yeah I said story) should be about your title.

Tip 5: Forum Marketing:

Go to forums about your topic and add value whenever needed. Don't spam your blog post everywhere and get banned from every blog site there is. Just be yourself and deliver content as much as possible. People love info, so just give it to them and link them back to your blog with more info.

Tip 6: Rss Feeds:

Create a RSS( really simple syndicate) feed. This is kinda technical so I'm going to start from the beginning. Rss feed is a subscription based service sorta like subscribing to a magazine. Lets say you like a blog, you then click the rss link (subscribe to the blog), so that every time you update your blog, they get an email or an update in their favorites bar. This will make you #1 on their list of blogs they read, so you they don't have to go fishing all over the Internet for relevant content. Check this out to learn how to create an rss feed.

Tip 7: Submit to all the social media:

Submit your blog to many different social media site: Face book, twitter, digg, technorati, are just a few site you can submit to. This is a site that can distribute your blog among all the bookmarking site, social media sites and many more. Try it for 1 dollar for 21 days. Traffic geyser is the site. Learn everything you can about this site. It can really help you get your blog out to the masses.

Tip 8: Link to other people's blogs or relevant content:

Link to other peoples blogs or content. If you find good content, share the wealth. Link to their site and maybe they will return the favor. Send them an email and say I'm sending people to your blog, is it OK for you to link back to mines. If not, then don't worry about it. Keep cranking out content of value.

Tip 9:  Have fun and don’t stress:

Have fun, Don't get frustrated. Don't worry about SEO and submitting across the masses. Just have fun first, create great content. It will attract.

Way to Build a Successful Adsense Income Blog.

Introduction

How to build a successful Google Adsense income blog?

Google Adsense is still the #1 revenue sharing network that many bloggers can earn a living with. There are no other best alternatives to Google Adsense in the PPC industry. That is why most of big bloggers like Quick Online Tips are still placing Adsense on this blog.

However, not many publishers can earn much from Google Adsense even though they are good at marketing or SEO. Where are the main reasons? Yes, there are many factors that affect your AdSense earnings that you might have missed.

Here are some key factors that can help you build a successful AdSense income blog:

1. Targeted Traffic

Yes, traffic does matter and you will have to drive a huge amount of traffic to your sites in order to make Google AdSense worth your time and effort.  There are many ways to drive traffic to your blog in order to increase your AdSense earning. Commenting or guest blogging is also a great way to get your blog much exposed to the public. You should do this on regular basis to maintain high volume of traffic.

If you are good at SEO or keywords analysis, you know what to do to drive more organic traffic to your blogs. But, you should keep an eye on the top trending keywords or at least high paying keywords. You can use Google Keywords Tool to see how much a keyword is bid by advertisers.

Another thing you should consider is to create as many sites on different topics as you can. They should not be autoblogs but real sites with efforts. Several sites are always better than one site.

 2. High paying niches

The highest paying niche is also another factor for AdSense success. If all of your sites focus on low paying keywords, your income is very low. You should think about other sources of income like affiliate marketing.

With only 5 cents per click and 200 clicks per month, can you live on? I do not think so. That is why you need to think about highest paying niches that have higher bid from advertisers. You can easily do this by using Google Keywords Tool to research.

3. Right Ad unit placement

Many bloggers would like to save space for other things and move Adsense ads down to the bottom of the page or somewhere that is hard to draw attention of readers. It is a big mistake as no one can click on your ads if they do not see it.

However, placing too many ads on a page that cannot get your contents distinguished, can lead to invalid clicks and your account is in danger of termination too. Therefore, be creative in placing your Adsense ads in appropriate ways.

4. Fresh content

Do not write about what people have mentioned many times. If your blog ranking is low, duplication of topic or content will not help you rank higher in SERPs.

So, choosing a new and fresh content to write about is a smart approach. This will help your content stand out in the crowded niche.

5. Your invested time

If you are thinking about something like autoblogs or autopilot models, my advice is that you should quit making money online with Adsense this way. Your account can sooner or later be disabled for duplicate contents.

The most important success factor for AdSense is how much time and effort you are willing to put into it. The less time you put into it, the less success you will have. The more you put into it, the more success you have!.

6. Using Adsense Multiple Palettes

If your readers are returning ones and Adsense ads are too familiar with them, try to refresh their mind by using different ad units or choosing the multiple colour palettes.

Your AdSense ads will change whenever readers open new posts or refresh the pages. The ads new colour will draw more attention from readers too. And, your Adsense ads will likely get more clicks.

7. Listen to Google suggestions

Google usually shares great tips with its publisher either on its blog or forum. You should pay attention to their advice to optimize your Adsense revenue. There are many great tips shared recently and many bloggers reported that they have improved their earnings from Google’s suggestions. Why not you?
Conclusion
If you are serious about making money online with Google Adsense, you should work hard and pay attention to 7 key factors that can help you build a successful Adsense income blog.

All about Mesothelioma Cancer.

Mesothelioma Cancer.

Mesothelioma cancer is a rare form of cancer malignancy that may grow inside the areas in the lungs or the stomach. It's a disease associated with mesothelial tissue. These types of tissue protect the external area on most of our     interior body parts, building a coating that's recognized as the mesothelium.

Mesothelioma inside the chest

Around sixty-six per cent or seventy-five per cent of mesotheliomas appear in the chest (sixty seven to seventy five percent). They begin in the 2 sheets of cells referred to as pleural walls (or pleura) which cover the lung area. The space connecting the pleura is termed the pleural space. The pleura are fibrous sheets that assist and safeguard the lung area. Additionally they deliver a lubricating liquid that assists the pleural walls to move around one another without difficulty after the lungs enlarge and also shrink as all of us inhale and exhale. Mesothelioma cancer of the pleura is referred to as pleural mesothelioma.

The sheet of cells covering the heart (the pericardium) is quite near to the pleura. So in certain individuals pleural mesothelioma might also propagate into the pericardium.

Mesothelioma inside the stomach

The sheet of cells around the parts of the abdomen (tummy) is known as the peritoneum. It will help to guard the parts of the abdomen and bear them in position. Additionally, it creates a lubricating liquid. The liquid assists the stomach organs to proceed effortlessly against one another as we keep moving around.

Mesothelioma of the cells coating the abdominal cavity is called peritoneal mesothelioma. Around 25 % and a 3rd of mesothelioms happens to the stomach (twenty five to thirty-three per cent). Thus it is significantly less popular compared to pleural mesothelioma. Peritoneal mesothelioma does not generally pass on to different areas of the body.

Harmless mesothelioma

A type of non cancerous (benign) mesothelioma can build up in the coating of the lungs, or in the filling of the reproductive system parts. It may happen in either males or females. These types of non malignant tumours are usually quite uncommon.

Auto Refinance : Refinance Your Car Loan and Save Money Every Month.

Do you think for Refinance Your Car Loan and Save Money Every Month? Then the Article is for you. Read And Enjoy.

Refinancing your auto loan can be a easy and effective way to lower your monthly payments and save you a good deal of money in the long run. Huge numbers of people are taking advantage of refinancing in the face of much lower interest rates. If you think you are paying way too much money on your loan each month (and who doesn’t?) then based on the amount of time left on your lease, and the rate of the interest you signed at, refinancing may be the way to go.

It’s always frustrating when you sign on to a loan at a fixed interest rate and then see the interest rates steadily drop around you, while you’re still stuck with the forking out the same high percentage payment every month. When you refinance your auto loan, you do so to save money by paying a reduced rate of interest, which, if you still have a few years or so to pay off the loan, can end up

saving you a bundle of money. Basically, the new lender takes care of the difference of paying off the original interest rate, while you continue paying the car off to them at a reduced rate. The title to your car is then transferred to them, and the time it takes you to pay off the ever-increasing cost of owning an automobile these days is drastically reduced.

It is important for you to be well aware of the term of your current auto loan contract so as to maximize the amount of money you can end up saving. It may be the case that you don’t mind making your payments at the interest rate you are currently fixed at, and yet still want to be shelling out less per payment than you are right now. If this is true for you, then your best plan of action is not to refinance your loan, but to extend the term of your payment agreement, so that you can minimize monthly

payments. Of course, this means that, over an extended period of time, you will still end up spending a large amount of your hard earned money on the interest rate of the contract.

With interest rates currently at noticeable lows, auto refinancing is becoming more and more the wise decision. As it stands right now, if you have a significant amount of time remaining on your loan contract, and you signed on to that contract when interest rates were unfortunately high, then it is definitely worth your time to research and compare the rates at a lending companies, so as to take advantage of getting in an auto loan contract, while the interest rates continue to be low. Of course, you can research most of this auto loans online information, with not a huge degree of effort,

and you may just find that is an effort that will pay out nice dividends in the future.

If making preliminary calculations sounds like a hellishly tedious mathematical trial, then your best to cut straight to the middleman and talk to a broker who can work to find you the best loan possible. But any way you go about doing it, refinancing your auto loan can be a wise decision, and worth looking into.

Libya crisis: fighter plane shot down as Gaddafi forces attack Benghazi.

Libya crisis: fighter plane shot down as Gaddafi forces attack Benghazi.

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's forces pushed into the rebel-held city of Benghazi on Saturday, defying world demands for an immediate ceasefire and after France's U.N. envoy predicted an imminent military action.

Libyan rebels shot down a warplane that was bombing their eastern stronghold Saturday as the opposition accused Moammar Gadhafi's government of defying calls for an immediate cease-fire an launching a sea and land assault

"The explosions started about 2 a.m. Gaddafi's forces are advancing, we hear they're 20 kms (12 miles) from Benghazi," Faraj Ali, a resident, said.

Gaddafi's forces advance into Benghazi pre-empted an international meeting hosted by France to discuss military intervention in Libya. The meeting will be attended by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Arab leaders.

"We saw Gaddafi's tanks, cars and missile trucks less than five km away," a rebel figher giving his name as Mohammed told Reuters.

Libya had declared a unilateral ceasefire on Friday after the U.N. Security Council authorised a no-fly zone over Libya.

But the United States accused Gaddafi of defying international demands for an immediate ceasefire, and France's U.N. envoy predicted military action within hours of the Paris meeting on Libya on Saturday.

Libyan rebels said they were being forced to retreat by Gaddafi's forces. Black plumes of smoke could be seen on the road to the west of the city, a witness said.

"They were 60 km (40 miles) away yesterday, today they are 20 kms away and they can be here in a half hour to 90 minutes," rebel fighter Khalid Ahmed told Reuters at a rebel base on the western edge of the city.

"We have no hope in the Western forces," Ahmed added as around him rebel forces pulled back from the advancing frontline.

Elsewhere in the city, rebels also reported skirmishes and strikes by Gaddafi forces.

"Fighter jets bombed the road to the airport and there's been an air strike on the Abu Hadi district on the outskirts," Mohammed Dwo, a hospital worker and a rebel supporter, told Reuters.

He was speaking at the scene of an apparent firefight between rebels and what they claimed were two mercenaries who had infiltrated the city and were driving in a car which they said contained a crate of handgrenades.

The two men, in civilian clothes, had been shot and killed and rebels produced blood-soaked identity papers they said showed them to be of Nigerian nationality.

"We were sitting here and we received gunfire from this vehicle then we opened fire and after that it crashed," rebel fighter Meri Dersi said.

Jamal bin Nour, a member of a neighbourhood watch group, told Reuters he had received a call to say government forces were landing by boat, but it was impossible to confirm the information.

The city has been so rife with rumours and hearsay that it is virtually impossible to verify due to lack of communications.

A unilateral ceasefire declared on Friday by the Libyan government appeared to have done little to convince outside powers to hold off on plans for air strikes to force an end to an increasingly bloody civil war.

Within hours of President Barack Obama saying the terms of a U.N. resolution meant to end fighting in Libya were non-negotiable, his U.N. envoy, Susan Rice, asked by CNN whether Gaddafi was in violation of these terms, said: "Yes, he is."

Gaddafi said there was no justification for the U.N. resolution.

"This is blatant colonialism. It does not have any justification. This will have serious consequences on the Mediterranean and on Europe," he said in comments reported by Al Jazeera television.

France, which along with Britain has been leading a drive for military intervention, will host a meeting on Saturday on Libya which will be attended by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Arab leaders.

Obama made clear any military action would aim to change conditions across Libya - rather than just in the rebel-held east - by calling on Gaddafi's forces to pull back from the western cities of Zawiyah and Misrata as well as from the east.

"All attacks against civilians must stop," Obama said, a day after the U.N. Security Council passed a resolution authorising international military intervention.

"Gaddafi must stop his troops from advancing on Benghazi, pull them back from Ajdabiya, Misrata and Zawiyah, and establish water, electricity and gas supplies to all areas. Humanitarian assistance must be allowed to reach the people of Libya ...

"Let me be clear, these terms are not negotiable... If Gaddafi does not comply ... the resolution will be enforced through military action."

In Tripoli the government said there had been no bombing since it announced the ceasefire.

"We have had no bombardment of any kind since the ceasefire was declared," Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Kaim told journalists when asked about reports of continued government operations in Misrata and other parts of the country.

Kaim said Libya was asking China, Germany, Malta and Turkey to send observers to monitor its adherence to the ceasefire.

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said on Friday everything was ready to launch military strikes in Libya.

Japan earthquake: Radiation found in food near nuclear plant.

Radiation in milk and spinach has been found to exceed safe levels near the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
Japan nuclear crisis: Fukushima 50 fight nuclear fallout covered in duct tape
Steam rises from the number four unit of the Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said checks of milk in the Fukushima area, and of spinach grown in neighbouring Ibaraki, surpassed limits set by the government.

It was the first official report of food being contaminated by radiation since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami triggered a nuclear crisis.

Me Edano said the radiation levels posed no immediate threat to humans and urged consumers to remain calm.

He said even if someone drank the contaminated milk for a year the radiation level would only be the same as undergoing one CAT scan.

The discovery of abnormal radioactivity in food came as Japanese engineers were close to restoring electricity to all six reactors at the plant.
Related Articles

The electricity will power cooling systems at the reactors which have been threatening to leak dangerous amounts of radioactivity.

A spokesman for the country's nuclear safety agency said: "We are scheduled to restore electricity at number one and two reactors within today. Reactors number five and six also will be powered within today. They are scheduled to restore power to number three and four tomorrow."

The announcement offered some hope of a breakthrough in efforts to prevent a full-blown meltdown, although it was still not clear whether the cooling systems would work properly when electricity is restored.

Engineers also bored holes in the roofs of the buildings housing reactors five and six to avoid a potential explosion of hydrogen gas.

Firefighters began pumping tons of water directly from the ocean into one of the most troubled areas of the nuclear complex, the cooling pool for used fuel rods at reactor three.

It is at risk of burning up and sending a broad release of radioactive material into the environment.

Hidehiko Nishiyama of Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency admitted backup power systems at the plant had been improperly protected, leaving them vulnerable to the tsunami.

The failure of the backup power systems, which were supposed to keep cooling systems going in the aftermath of an earthquake, let uranium fuel overheat and were a "main cause" of the crisis, he said.

"I cannot say whether it was a human error, but we should examine the case closely," he said.

Meanwhile, hopes of a miraculous rescue following the devastation of last week's 9.0-magnitude earthquake were dashed when it emerged that a man found in the ruins had not been trapped.

Military rescuers thought they had saved Katsuharu Moriya, in his 20s, who was found in the rubble in Kesennuma city.

But it later he emerged he had spent the previous week in an evacuation centre and only gone back to his half destroyed one day earlier. He lay down in a blanket and rescuers stumbled on him.

As the one-week mark passed since the earthquake and tsunami Mer Edano conceded the government had been slow to respond to the nuclear disaster.

He said: "In hindsight, we could have moved a little quicker in assessing the situation and coordinating all that information and provided it faster."

Japan's National Police Agency raised the death toll from the earthquake and tsunami, reporting that 7,197 people had died.

That exceeded the number of deaths caused by the 1995 Kobe earthquake. Another 10,905 people were reported missing.

As hopes of finding survivors faded Australian rescuers were due to pull out today from the devastated town of Minamisanriku.

The Australian government said it was not prepared to place the 72-strong team at unnecessarily at risk.

The ICC Cricket World Cup is the premier international championship of men's One Day International (ODI) cricket. The event is organized by the sport's governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC), with preliminary qualification rounds leading up to a finals tournament which is held every four years. The tournament is the world's fourth-largest and fourth-most-viewed sporting event.[1][2][2] According to the ICC, it is the most important tournament and the pinnacle of achievement in the sport.[3][4] The first Cricket World Cup contest was organized in England in 1975. A separate Women's Cricket World Cup has been held every four years since 1973.

The finals of the Cricket World Cup are contested by all ten Test-playing and ODI-playing nations, together with other nations that qualify through the World Cup Qualifier. Australia has been the most successful of the five teams to have won the tournament, taking four titles. The West Indies have won twice, while India, Pakistan, and Srilanka have each won once.

The 2007 Cricket World Cup matches were held between 13 March and 28 April 2007, in the West Indies. The 2007 tournament had sixteen teams competing in a pool stage (played in round-robin format), then a "super 8" stage, followed by semi-finals and a final. Australia defeated Sri Lanka in the final to retain the championship. The 2011 Cricket World Cup started on 19 February 2011 and continues until 2 April 2011. The tournament will be co-hosted by Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. There are 14 countries that are participating in the tournament.

A Quick Overview of Total Disaster caused at a glance by 8.9 magnitude earthquake — fifth largest since 1900 - followed by Tsunami of at least 23 feet in Japan.

Japan struggled to prevent a nuclear catastrophe and to deliver food and water to hundreds of thousands of people, three days after a massive earthquake and tsunami crippled the nation with what the prime minister described as its worst crisis since World War II.

The death toll from Friday's disaster was likely to exceed 10,000 as whole villages and towns were wiped off the map by a wall of water, leaving in its wake an international humanitarian effort of epic proportions.

Nuclear plant operators worked frantically to try to keep temperatures down in several troubled reactors, wrecking at least two by dumping sea water into them in last-ditch efforts to avoid meltdowns. Officials warned of a second explosion but said it would not pose a health threat.

Near-freezing temperatures compounded the misery of survivors along hundreds of miles of the northeastern coast battered by the tsunami that smashed inland with breathtaking fury. Rescuers pulled bodies from mud-covered jumbles of wrecked houses, shattered tree trunks, twisted cars and tangled power lines while survivors examined the ruined remains.

Japanese officials warned of a possible second explosion at a nuclear plant crippled by an earthquake and tsunami as they raced to stave off multiple reactor meltdowns.

Since the initial 8.9-magnitude quake, Japan has been struck by scores of aftershocks.
A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake — fifth largest since 1900 — struck at 2:46 p.m. local time Friday (12:46 a.m. ET), centered approximately 100 miles east of Sendai city on Japan’s main island, Honshu.

 Tsunami
The quake generated a tsunami of at least 13 feet, that swept boats, cars, buildings and tons of debris miles inland in Japan. Smaller swells struck other Pacific Rim countries, causing serious but far less extensive damage.

    Casualties
Hundreds of people were confirmed dead, but officials say they expect it to climb as they reach the hardest hit areas.

 Nuclear plants
Authorities declared states of emergency at five nuclear reactors in Fukushima prefecture; the situation at the Tokyo Electric Power Co.'s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear ractor No. 1 was of highest concern, with the company saying it feared a possible meltdown of the radioactive core before an explosion on Saturday severely damaged the building around the unit.

Other impacts
Transportation and communications systems were largely paralyzed and large areas of the country were without power.

The death toll surged because of a report from Miyagi, one of the three hardest hit states. The police chief told disaster relief officials more than 10,000 people were killed, police spokesman Go Sugawara told The Associated Press. That was an estimate — only 400 people have been confirmed dead in Miyagi, which has a population of 2.3 million.

According to officials, more than 1,800 people were confirmed dead — including 200 people whose bodies were found Sunday along the coast — and more than 1,400 were missing in Friday's disasters. Another 1,900 were injured.

For Japan, one of the world's leading economies with ultramodern infrastructure, the disasters plunged ordinary life into nearly unimaginable deprivation.
Hundreds of thousands of hungry survivors huddled in darkened emergency centers that were cut off from rescuers, aid and electricity. At least 1.4 million households had gone without water since the quake struck and some 1.9 million households were without electricity.

While the government doubled the number of soldiers deployed in the aid effort to 100,000 and sent 120,000 blankets, 120,000 bottles of water and 29,000 gallons of gasoline plus food to the affected areas, Prime Minister Naoto Kan said electricity would take days to restore. In the meantime, he said, electricity would be rationed with rolling blackouts to several cities, including Tokyo.

"This is Japan's most severe crisis since the war ended 65 years ago," Kan told reporters, "The earthquake, tsunami and the nuclear incident have been the biggest crisis Japan has encountered in the 65 years since the end of World War Two," a grim-faced Prime Minister Naoto Kan told a news conference on Sunday.

Japan's central bank has injected 7 trillion yen (US$85.5 billion) into money markets after the disaster raised dire worries about the world's third-largest economy. Stocks fell in early trading Monday on the first business day after the quake. The benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average shed nearly 5 percent shortly after the market opened.

Boston-based catastrophe modeling firm AIR Worldwide estimated that insured property losses from the quake will range between 1.2 trillion to 2.8 trillion yen — about $15 billion to $35 billion in U.S. dollars.

In a rare piece of good news, the Defense Ministry said a military vessel on Sunday rescued a 60-year-old man floating off the coast of Fukushima on the roof of his house after he and his wife were swept away in the tsunami. He was in good condition. His wife did not survive.

A young man described what ran through his mind before he escaped in a separate rescue. "I thought to myself, ah, this is how I will die," Tatsuro Ishikawa, his face bruised and cut, told NHK as he sat in striped hospital pajamas.

Dozens of countries have offered assistance. Two U.S. aircraft carrier groups were off Japan's coast and ready to provide assistance. Helicopters were flying from one of the carriers, the USS Ronald Reagan, delivering food and water in Miyagi.

Two other U.S. rescue teams of 72 personnel each and rescue dogs arrived Sunday, as did a five-dog team from Singapore.

Still, large areas of the countryside remained surrounded by water and unreachable. Fuel stations were closed, though, at some, cars waited in lines hundreds of vehicles long.

The United States and a several countries in Europe urged their citizens to avoid travel to Japan. France took the added step of suggesting people leave Tokyo in case radiation reached the city.

Community after community traced the vast extent of the devastation.

In the town of Minamisanrikucho, 10,000 people — nearly two-thirds of the population — have not been heard from since the tsunami wiped it out, a government spokesman said. NHK showed only a couple concrete structures still standing, and the bottom three floors of those buildings gutted. One of the few standing was a hospital, and a worker told NHK that hospital staff rescued about a third of the patients in the facility.

In the town of Iwaki, there was no electricity, stores were closed and residents left as food and fuel supplies dwindled. Local police took in about 90 people and gave them blankets and rice balls, but there was no sign of government or military aid trucks.

At a large refinery on the outskirts of the hard-hit port city of Sendai, 100-foot (30-meter) -high bright orange flames rose in the air, spitting out dark plumes of smoke. The facility has been burning since Friday. The fire's roar could be heard from afar. Smoke burned the eyes and throat, and a gaseous stench hung in the air.

All about Tsunami.

All about Tsunami.
Have you ever wondered why tsunamis happen? In this article we’ll give you the facts about these huge waves, so you can better understand what causes a tsunami.

The name tsunami, pronounced soo-nahm-ee comes from two Japanese words; tsu means harbor and nami meaning wave, so tsunami means harbor-wave.

A tsunami is caused when there is a disturbance deep under the ocean such as an earthquake, volcano or a landslide. An underwater earthquake is the most common cause for a tsunami, but not just any underwater earthquake causes a tsunami. The earthquake needs to be a large enough earthquake of around 7.0 magnitude or bigger.

Tsunami

Underwater earthquakes happen because oceanic and continental plates, which are huge areas of the earth’s crust, push into each other and build up pressure. The pressure builds and builds until eventually the oceanic plate slips under the continental plate releasing all that pressure and energy in the form of an earthquake. If you would like to read other tribune articles about earthquakes click here.

If an underwater earthquake is large enough, the ocean floor will make significant movements, therefore the water above the sea floor must move too.

The ocean water is pushed upward causing a large ripple that begins to travel through the ocean. This large ripple, which will become the tsunami, travels at a very fast speed of up to 600 miles per hour.

Because the ocean is so deep, the wave has plenty of room to move, but when it gets near the shore the wave starts to build in height because the water has nowhere else to travel. Eventually the wave will hit the shore and travel far inland.

Eventually the ocean will settle down again, and all the water that came onto land from the tsunami will retreat back into the ocean. Unfortunately such large amounts of water can cause harm to people and property if they have not been warned. The United States is fortunate to have a tsunami warning system that can warn us before a tsunami wave approaches our shores.

SEO Strategies.

 SEO Strategies.

From the very beginning of the Internet, the number one challenge which all of us have faced is how to attract qualified visitors to our websites. Throughout the boom years, one of the most popular solutions was to get massive funding, relatively easy to get in those days, and "buy" traffic, by various means.

As an iconoclastic young developer, with ambitions of beating the "big boys" at their own game, more time than money or the connections to get it, I sought a less capital intensive methodology to achieve the same results. Years of study and rapt attention to the pertinent forums, trying everything that even seemed to make sense (making many mistakes along the way, and learning much from each one), then carefully monitoring the results, has lead to many highly workable tools in our SEO bag of tricks. The outcome of these trial and error methods, (lots of both) lays the foundation of our SEO services and the basis for the ongoing growth of traffic to your website and ours.

The simple fact of the matter is this: Expertise in any other form of writing in no way qualifies one for the type of writing required to optimize a website for the Internet. There are many sites which have less than correct punctuation, grammar, and even spelling which rank #1 in their optimized search phrases. This is not to say that I don't think these things are important, only that to be found in the search engines, they are not the most important consideration.

Studies show that over 90% of all online users use search engines to find what they are looking for, whether products/services, or just plain old information.

The following twelve points will, I hope, summarize a philosophy, approach and methodology to the SEO question which is both sound and effective, along with giving some helpful insight into the industry itself.

  1. Content. Content. Content.

Effective, professional, optimized Copywriting is the single, most important factor in any SEO campaign. Search engines index websites based on the content found on each page of the site. With a thorough understanding of the language and grammatical conventions combined with intensive research, to find and exploit the market focus, one can move a website to the upper echelon of the "SERP's" (Search Engine Results Page) in a methodical as well as ethical manner.

2. Analyze Web Logs.

Measure everything, at least twice, and then check again. While I would be the first to say that many of the procedures that make up website optimization are more art than science, one needs to take a very scientific approach to the results of the effort. This is done by methodically keeping a record of, and making an analysis of the sites web logs. There are a number of specialized software which make the job easier but at the bare minimum, one needs to keep a close eye on the site visitors and their activity while on the site. No matter how well planned the strategy; it is largely theoretical until proven by the results, which can only be measured by the logs, and a thorough analysis of their content.

3. No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google, or any other search engine.

Those who promise such feats will either optimize for such vague search term phrases (such as, "green stunted widgets with purple Polka-dots and icing") that no one will ever likely look for, or they are making a false claim, which they have no intention of keeping, or they have an inside edge at Google, something which they will lose, quickly, when the honest folks at Google find out about it. The other option, that they will take the money and run, is worth mentioning here but I'll be polite.

4. Some things are just plain silly.

You don't need to submit your site to 50,000 search engines. Businesses which offer this service are suspect, at best. 85% of the search results on the Internet come from one search engine, which, if you have one link from an established website, or better yet, a directory, will find your site just fine, on its own. Four (4) search engines account for over 90% of the traffic on the web. As for any supposed benefit which may accrue from being listed in an obscure search engine in Botswana which specializes in safaris to the Kalahari Desert and receives 7 hits per day; well, you figure it out.

5. SEO is not Pay-per-Click.

While no one would argue the effectiveness of getting increased traffic and sales, through a well planned, pay-per-click campaign, the fact remains that the conversion rates are generally low and they cease the moment the "pay" stops. With a well planned and executed SEO campaign, while results may take a bit longer, they continue to produce, and in fact grow, long after the work is done and paid for. Quite often we have found that after a thorough optimization of a site, only minor adjustments are needed on an ongoing basis, primarily related to new content and/or new items of sale or service.

6. SEO is not witchcraft, Druidism, shamanism.

Neither does it require any special chants, ceremonial fires, or vestments, though some of us do like to howl at the full moon, on occasion. There are no "Top Secret" practices which a reputable SEO cannot tell a client, a judge, or his mother, for that matter. The very nature of the Internet has always been cooperative and there is nothing about SEO that can't be learned, with a heavy dose of time and money. A reputable SEO firm will give you an item per item breakdown of just where the money goes. Be wary if you sense a secretive atmosphere or any unwillingness to answer questions. While there are technical points which might take some background to fully understand, if one has a solid overview of the entire situation, a simple explanation should be easy enough to come up with.

7. Do-it-yourself SEO.

Yes, you can execute your own SEO campaign and find a reputable SEO firm to help plan and organize it for you. About one half of my own clientele do some part of the actual work themselves, or have their in-house dedicated personnel do it, after discussion of the goals and aims of the business/website, a thorough website analysis, comprehensive search phrase research, and focused instruction on the ways and means of achieving high SERPs. These preliminaries are followed up with a detailed program of suggestions and methods which the client can then implement themselves or hire others to perform. Average savings; 30-40%.

8. Phased Implementation.

While many companies spend thousands of dollars per month on Search Engine Optimization, an alternative is available which will pay dividends to you in increased sales and leads without the high initial investment. The most important consideration is to have a reputable firm handle the initial evaluation and suggested optimization planning first. The trial and error method will cost much more, in the long run, with or without the desired result. After studying the plan and establishing a workable budget you may implement the plan as finances allow.

9. Remember the old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
Never was this more true than in the realm of SEO. While concrete and measurable gains will always come from a well thought out and executed optimization strategy, the Internet is a competitive media and we all want to be number one. Accept that a steady upward movement, over time, will place you worlds ahead of a flash followed by a crash.

10. A thought to ponder.

At stake, in the race for the top, is the very existence of your website, your business, and quite possibly your reputation. Beware of any "shortcuts" or less than ethical schemes that anyone might suggest to further your business goals. When it's all said and done it is you, the business owner, who bears the responsibility for any company or individual you hire. Insist on knowing exactly what the strategy is and what steps are being performed to implement it. If it seems, in the least, suspicious, ask for and get an explanation. In this case, not only is Ignorance not bliss, it could very well be the beginning of the end for your business.

11. All incoming links are not created equal.

Both the relevance to your line of business and website subject matter and the PR value of the incoming link determine how valuable they are to your own PR ranking. With Google starting the trend, nothing new there, and most of the others following close behind, the days of grabbing all the inbound links, in any way possible, are gone. Not only will low ranked and/or irrelevant inbound links not help, they will, in fact, cause a penalty. Link farms, free-for-all link schemes, automated link accumulation software, or any other fad that doesn't carefully screen the links and websites they are coming from will, in the long run, do more harm than good.

12. It's more than just facts and figures.

The relationship between an online business and SEO is, perhaps, one of the closest of business relationships. In order to be effective, a SEO must know not only the facts and figures pertaining to the endeavor, but s/he must know something of the dreams and aspirations of the business principals. Things which don't normally come out in a prospectus are often invaluable information when searching for the "right fit" into the complex world of the Internet. My own clients sometimes ask, due to the frequency of my calls and email in the early phases, "Am I your only client?" I usually laugh and say something to the effect that until I know your business almost as well as you do, yes, you are the only one that counts.
